The episode begins with Anupama and Devika spending time with Jaya. When Anupama asks what she’s doing, Jaya says since Anupama is sitting with her best friend, she’s sitting with hers. Devika reveals that Jaya lost her mother, and she has decided to adopt her, saying the child gives her a reason to live. Anupama emotionally says that cancer can never win.
Devika then asks Anupama if she plans to return to Mumbai and whether the city holds something special for her. Anupama admits she’s worried about the Shahs, but Devika advises her to stop thinking about them and focus on her own happiness.
As they talk, Anupama expresses how much she misses her home. Devika questions whether Anupama will be in Mumbai physically but still emotionally tied to the Shahs. Anupama begins talking about her children but freezes when she suddenly sees Gautam, which leaves her anxious.
Devika firmly reminds Anupama that her children are adults and capable of managing their own lives. She urges her to stop trying to control everything around her.
Meanwhile, Vasundhara prepares for Diwali and finds Gautam doing decorations. When she questions him, Gautam insists on handling it himself. During the preparations, Gautam saves Mahi from falling, and they both lose balance and fall together.
Ansh grows furious, but Mahi defends Gautam, insisting that he has changed. Prarthana doubts Gautam’s intentions, warning Mahi not to trust him blindly. Mahi argues that no one is willing to understand the real Gautam, leaving Prarthana determined to protect her.
Elsewhere, Anupama and the Shahs celebrate the new year. She shares an inspiring message about making the most of the 365 days life offers. Her attention is drawn to Ishani using her phone suspiciously. Devika asks her not to overthink, yet Anupama checks with Pakhi to ensure everything is fine.
Pakhi decides to take Ishani to the Kothari house, but Anupama senses an approaching storm and worries about what’s coming next.
In another scene, Rahi notices Prem glued to his mobile and demands to see it. Prem refuses, accusing Rahi of jealousy, leaving her shocked and hurt.
At the Kothari mansion, Vasundhara readies for the puja. Parag asks if she needs help, but she says her only wish is to restore the family’s reputation. Parag suggests she focus more on the family than business. To everyone’s surprise, Vasundhara declares that Gautam will handle the upcoming business deal instead of Ansh.
Later, Mahi confesses her love for Gautam. Prarthana warns her against making a mistake, but Mahi defends him and asks her to stay out of her personal life.
The episode ends with the Kotharis and the Shahs joining together for the Govardhan Puja. When Jaya asks about the festival, Anupama narrates the story of Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan mountain to protect his devotees. Both families come together to offer prayers and celebrate devotion and faith.
