The episode opens with Jhanak arriving at her college, only to discover that her name is missing from the hostel list. Teacher Mythiri approaches her and advises Jhanak to meet the Dean for clarification. She reminds Jhanak that no one can take away her right to stay in the hostel and mentions that the media has also arrived at the campus. Encouraged, Jhanak thanks Mythiri and proceeds to meet the Dean.
The Dean, aware of Jhanak’s presence, bluntly tells her that she has no right to question his decision. When Jhanak demands an explanation, he threatens to rusticate her. Unafraid, Jhanak insists she is only standing up for her rights. The Dean dismisses her rudely, saying he doesn’t have time to waste.
Mythiri intervenes, revealing that Jhanak had indeed been allotted a hostel room, but the Dean rejected it. The Dean argues that since Jhanak has a local guardian, she can stay there instead. Jhanak refuses, saying she knows no one in Kolkata and wants to live in the hostel to focus on her studies.
When the Dean remains firm, Mythiri urges Jhanak to fight back and speak to the press. As journalists question students, Mythiri introduces Jhanak to them. Jhanak shares her struggle, saying she depends on her scholarship and deserves hostel accommodation.
Jhanak further reveals that certain people influenced the Dean’s decision against her, though she avoids naming them. Hearing this shocks Mishti, who has been following her. Reporters promise to confront the Dean about the injustice.
Meanwhile, Aayush, the student leader, learns about Jhanak’s issue, and students begin protesting in her support. The Dean, watching the news, grows anxious and calls Jhanak a troublemaker. Journalists confront him, but he arrogantly defends his actions.
Mishti complains to her friend that Jhanak always creates problems, but her friend notes that Aayush’s support will turn the situation in Jhanak’s favor. Soon after, Aayush meets Jhanak and assures her of help.
Concerned about the growing protest, another teacher warns the Dean that the issue might escalate to the education minister. The Dean then calls the police to control the unrest. Rishi, informed about the protest, secretly admires Jhanak’s courage and asks the police to reach the spot quickly. The episode ends as the student protest intensifies on campus.
