The episode opens with Mishti and her friends spreading gossip about Jhanak and Aayush in class. Jhanak confronts them, accusing them of spiking her drink and clarifying that she had fallen ill because of their actions. While Mishti and Priyanshi mock her and imply something happened between her and Aayush, Jhanak firmly states she came to study, warning them that any disturbance will be reported to the professor.
Mythiri later cautions Jhanak that the college management may push for her suspension. Jhanak recounts the events of the party, vowing to fight for the truth and expressing concern that even Aayush is dragged into trouble. Mythiri encourages her to stay strong.
Meanwhile, the Principal instructs Mishti and her group to brief a journalist. Mishti shares Jhanak’s drunken video and mentions Rishi, Jhanak’s local guardian and Aniruddh Bose’s son-in-law. The journalist leaves with the footage, ignoring the Principal’s attempt to distance himself.
At the Bose house, Rishi grows restless, recalling Mishti’s claims. When a journalist calls seeking his comments, he dismisses the allegations and warns her not to harass his family. Inside the house, opinions clash as Neelu and Tanushri condemn Jhanak, while Putul, Dadabhai, and later Sanjhbati defend her character. Sanjhbati is stunned when Tanushri brings up talks of Jhanak and Rishi’s marriage.
As the scandal airs on television, Rishi is furious seeing Jhanak and Aayush’s photo. While Aditi reminds him he may face inquiries as her guardian, Dadabhai still cannot believe the accusations. Abhimanyu insists the family must face the truth.
Back in college, the Principal celebrates the news coverage, while Aditi alerts Arshi to the breaking story. Rishi is left shaken, believing that Jhanak betrayed his trust on the very day he confessed his feelings.
