The episode opens with Karan angrily accusing Lakshmi of giving him the keys without proper instructions, which caused him embarrassment before the investors. Lakshmi defends herself, saying she clearly informed him. Karan dismisses her words and accuses her of partying irresponsibly. Lakshmi calmly explains that she went to the event on Dadi’s request to deliver an idol, where a gas leak occurred, and she ended up saving a life.
Karan mocks her heroics, but Lakshmi reminds him she even saved his Dadi, saying nothing is more valuable than life. Irritated, Karan taunts that she only got her job because of his grandmother and wouldn’t be hired anywhere else with her looks. Lakshmi replies firmly that while she may not have glamour, she has intelligence and integrity. She advises Karan to take responsibility instead of blaming others.
Annoyed, Karan tells her to stop arguing. Lakshmi responds that she answers only to Barkha Ma’am, not him, and walks out confidently.
Elsewhere, Karthik remembers being humiliated at an event for not singing. Spotting a job vacancy, he decides to work until he gets another opportunity. He visits Karan’s office, where Maddy informs him the only role available is folding sarees. Overhearing Maddy mention that Karan is looking for a singer, Karthik accepts the job just to stay close to that chance.
In the saree room, Lakshmi enters and notices a dim light. As she calls Shankar to fix it, the partition accidentally shifts, and sarees fall over her and Karthik. Their hands touch briefly before Shankar enters, offering to help. Lakshmi asks if someone new has joined, and Shankar confirms. She leaves while Karthik continues folding sarees.
Later, Lakshmi visits Karan’s house to deliver Dadi’s medicines. Karan coldly says she wasn’t invited to the party. Dadi arrives, sends her a digital invitation, and declares Lakshmi her guest. Bhavani criticizes Lakshmi, warning Dadi to keep her away from rich boys. Dadi sternly replies that she knows people’s worth better than Bhavani and asks Lakshmi to stay.
At the party, Barkha realizes she left her phone at the office and goes back to retrieve it. Meanwhile, a man rudely asks Lakshmi to serve drinks. She firmly refuses, saying she’s a designer, not a servant. When the man tries to touch her, she draws a fire rekha on the floor and warns that crossing it will bring him ruin like Raavan. Shocked, he steps back as she walks away with dignity.
Vivek’s friends mock him, saying Lakshmi insulted him. Furious, Vivek vows revenge. Back at the office, Barkha finds her phone and spots Karthik. Recognizing him from the Karwa Chauth party, she greets him warmly and decides to take him along to the Diwali celebration.
