The episode begins with Adit spotting Neel and wondering what he’s doing there. Calling him “badtameez,” Adit then shows Mangal a hospital record from her delivery, revealing that their first child was actually a boy — meaning Ishana isn’t their biological daughter.
Shocked, Mangal recalls Pushpa’s words claiming that Neel is her son and collapses in disbelief. Adit urges her to accept the truth. Trembling, Mangal shows Neel’s photo to Adit and breaks down. Unbeknownst to them, someone secretly takes pictures of their conversation. Adit reminds her it’s been sixteen years since that incident.
A nurse spots Adit with the confidential file and questions him. Adit scolds the hospital staff for their negligence. Mangal begs him not to tell anyone about what they’ve discovered. Regretting that her delivery took place there, Adit listens as Mangal explains it was an emergency.
She insists that Ishana is her daughter in every sense and says she can’t handle losing her. Adit advises her to speak to Ishana before she learns the truth from others. Mangal promises to do it the next day.
When Adit returns home, Sowmya confronts him with a newspaper photo showing him and Mangal together. Furious, she accuses him of neglecting her and their unborn child. Adit explains that he was merely consoling Mangal after learning that Ishana isn’t their biological daughter. Shocked, Sowmya drops her mug. Kusum arrives, concerned, but Sowmya hides the truth, blaming mood swings.
Later, Mangal gathers courage to tell Ishana everything. She explains that someone swapped the babies sixteen years ago. Ishana refuses to believe her and assumes she’s joking. As Mangal pleads, a cooker suddenly explodes. In panic, she calls Ishana, only to realize she was imagining the conversation. Mangal burns her hand trying to stop the blast.
Shanti rushes in with the children and scolds Mangal for being careless. Ishana offers to clean up while Mangal silently vows to reveal the truth soon.
The next morning, Mangal asks Ishana to accompany her to the market. When Akshat wants to join, she tells him to finish his homework. Mangal prays for courage, unaware Ishana overhears her. Ishana asks what truth she meant, but before Mangal can reply, Shanti bursts in crying — Lipika has met with an accident.
Mangal comforts her and decides they will all go to Delhi together. Ishana again asks about the secret, but Mangal postpones the revelation. Before leaving, she texts Neel, asking him to care for his mother and himself. Neel reads her emotional message and feels a strange connection, as if Mangal were his mother.
As Mangal’s family heads to the airport, fate plays its game — Sowmya’s taxi passes right by them in the opposite direction.
