The episode begins with Karan getting angry at Lakshmi for breaking his speaker. Lakshmi apologizes and offers to get it repaired, suggesting that he deduct the cost from her salary over a few months. Karan scolds her to stay within limits and orders her to meet him in his office.
In the office, Lakshmi assures Karan she knows a good technician who can fix the speaker. Karan mocks her, saying the speaker is a limited edition from Canada, beyond her “auqat.” Lakshmi boldly replies that he can cut her entire year’s salary if needed. She tries to leave but finds the door locked, asking him to open it. Karan reprimands her harshly.
He instructs her to work harder to repay the cost and orders her to leave immediately.
Meanwhile, Gayatri worries about Karthik and calls him, pleading for his return, saying his father’s health is poor. Karthik responds coldly that he has already forgotten Lakshmi but eventually agrees to come back.
At the office, Shankar brings tea to Lakshmi and asks why she’s working alone while others are at the party. She reassures him and later leaves for home. Finding no auto, she walks, but a group of eve-teasers troubles her. Suddenly, Karan arrives in his car and pulls her inside, claiming he saved her. Lakshmi scolds him for acting like a kidnapper, then walks away.
The next day, Lakshmi prepares for Karwa Chauth, applies sindoor, and prays for Karthik’s long life. Swathi enters, and Lakshmi quickly hides her sindoor. She observes the fast wholeheartedly. Meanwhile, Karthik plans to return home and take his father to Chandigarh, but memories of Lakshmi’s betrayal upset him.
Later, Lakshmi reaches the office, where Shankar informs her that Karan is conducting auditions. Noticing a nervous contestant, Lakshmi encourages her, helping her complete the lyrics. Karan observes from the mirror and calls Lakshmi to his cabin after the contestant thanks her.
