The episode begins with Lakshmi returning home. As she places her bag on the bed, her book slips down. Picking it up, she notices the lyrics she had written earlier and recalls Karan’s words about completing the song. She begins finishing the remaining lines.
Meanwhile, Karan tells Barkha that Karthik has lost all his chances and mocks him as a born loser. Barkha defends Karthik, saying he’s a talented singer who just needs an opportunity. Karan argues that luck never favors anyone, but Barkha insists that Karthik deserves a chance. Karan teases her for being too concerned and finally declares that Karthik will perform at the event. Barkha happily praises her brother.
Later, Karan sneaks into Lakshmi’s house to steal her lyrics, thinking Karthik can’t sing without them. Hearing Lakshmi approach, he hides in a cupboard but starts coughing. Lakshmi opens the cupboard with a pan in hand, and both fall to the floor. Karan admits he came for the lyrics. Lakshmi furiously warns him to stay away and refuses to give her work to anyone except Karthik.
Meanwhile, Karthik tells Gayatri he got the contract and can now afford his father’s treatment. Curious, he wonders who wrote the song. Elsewhere, Barkha learns that Lakshmi denied Karan the lyrics and gets angry. She calls Lakshmi, ordering her to come to the office immediately to finalize costumes.
When Lakshmi arrives, Barkha sends her to the terrace to fetch cartons. Lakshmi finds none, and Barkha locks her outside. It starts raining heavily, and Lakshmi begs to be let in. Barkha coldly tells her this is punishment for refusing Karan. Lakshmi says she won’t hand over her lyrics, as they’re her personal emotions written for Karthik. Enraged, Barkha pushes her and leaves her locked in the rain.
At the same time, Maddy informs Karthik that Karan has replaced him with another singer. Disheartened, Karthik decides to leave, but Barkha pleads with him not to go. Karthik refuses and walks out, while Barkha realizes her growing possessiveness toward him.
Trapped in the rain, Lakshmi writes “HELP” on her dupatta with mud and throws it down. The dupatta lands near Karthik. Seeing the message, he realizes someone is in danger and rushes upstairs—only to find an unconscious Lakshmi lying in the rain.
